What Your Child Will Discover
The Elementary Programme covers 6 core topic areas across 12 discovery sessions, then brings them together with 2 review weeks and a creative open practice finale.
Week by Week
Each week introduces a vibrant new theme — two focused sessions that deepen vocabulary, sharpen grammar, and build real conversational confidence.
Where are you going on holiday? Children discover vivid vacation vocabulary — la plage, la montagne, l'hôtel, visiter, se baigner — and start describing their favourite destinations in French.
Share your holiday memories! Children practise talking about past trips using the passé composé — Où es-tu allé(e)? Qu'est-ce que tu as fait? — a genuine leap into French storytelling.
Welcome to the French home! Children learn the names of rooms and furniture — le salon, la cuisine, la chambre, le jardin — turning familiar spaces into a rich French vocabulary treasure chest.
Give a tour in French! Children practise describing their own home — its size, location, and favourite room — building genuine spoken expression about the world closest to them.
French class comes alive! Children explore a wide range of hobby vocabulary — jouer au foot, faire de la natation, lire, dessiner — and discover how to share their passions in French.
J'aime, tu aimes — what do you love doing? Children practise expressing preferences and using frequency adverbs — j'aime, je préfère, tous les jours, souvent — making conversations flow naturally.
Talk about the future in French! Children master the futur proche — aller + infinitive — and practise expressing upcoming plans and activities, filling their French with energy and anticipation.
Dreams and wishes! Children learn to express hopes and desires — je voudrais, j'aimerais — and practise describing their dream plans, opening up imaginative, expressive French conversation.
Express emotions in French! Children build a rich emotional vocabulary — content, triste, fatigué, nerveux, surpris — and practise naming feelings across different everyday situations.
Explain how you feel! Children learn to express emotions in full sentences with reasons — Je me sens… parce que… — a meaningful step towards authentic, heartfelt French expression.
Children learn classroom vocabulary, school subjects, and simple instructions in French, building the language for everyday school life.
Telling time and describing a full day's activities in French — children connect their daily life to natural, flowing sentences.
Holidays, home, hobbies, plans, feelings, and school — all locked in! A game-packed review of weeks 1–6 through guided speaking activities.
Bringing together vocabulary from all six topics through short dialogues and interactive exercises that show just how far they've come.
Connecting the dots! Through role-play and short conversations, children learn to weave together all six topics — a creative, expressive session that marks a genuine leap in French confidence.
Dedicated to pronunciation refinement and an open Ask the Teacher session. Children leave with clearer sounds, more confidence, and a genuine sense of progress.
