Summer Camp for Kids Non-beginner Intensive
This programme is offered as part of our Summer 2026 intensive workshops at our Wan Chai centre.
What Your Child Will Discover
The Elementary Programme covers 5 core topic areas across 10 discovery sessions, then brings them together with 2 review workshops and a creative open practice week.
Week by Week
Each week introduces a vibrant new theme โ two focused sessions that deepen vocabulary, sharpen grammar, and build real conversational confidence.
Un, deux, troisโฆ jusqu'ร cinquante! Children discover the building blocks of French numbers through counting games, rhythmic repetition, and oral challenges that make 1 to 50 genuinely unforgettable.
The adventure continues to 100! Children unlock the clever patterns in French numbers from 51 to 100 โ soixante-dix, quatre-vingts, quatre-vingt-dix โ and discover the satisfying logic hidden in every number.
Quel temps fait-il? Children build a vivid vocabulary of weather conditions โ sunny, rainy, cloudy, windy โ and start noticing the world around them through a French lens.
From words to sentences! Children practise describing the weather every day in French, building the fluency and confidence to talk naturally about what they see outside.
Their French classroom comes to life! Children learn the names for everyday school objects โ le cahier, le stylo, la gomme โ turning familiar surroundings into a rich French-speaking environment.
Actions speak louder than words โ in French! Children practise classroom instructions, school routines, and action verbs, giving them the tools to participate fully in any French-language setting.
How do you ask in French? Children discover the key question forms โ Qui? Oรน? Quoi? Comment? โ and practise forming simple personal questions that open up real conversations.
Now answer confidently! Children learn to respond to basic questions in complete, well-formed French sentences โ a true milestone that marks the beginning of genuine conversational ability.
Days, months, and more! Children learn the French calendar โ les jours de la semaine, les mois de l'annรฉe โ and key time-related vocabulary that weaves naturally into everyday conversation.
What's today's date? Children practise saying the date and using time expressions in context โ Aujourd'hui c'estโฆ โ a satisfying, real-world skill that brings their summer French to life.
Numbers and weather locked in! A game-packed review of Weeks 1 & 2 โ children practise counting, use number patterns, and describe daily weather in guided speaking activities that cement everything.
School, questions, and time โ all together! Children bring together the vocabulary from Weeks 3โ5 through simple dialogues and interactive exercises that show just how far they've come.
Connecting the dots! Through role-play and short conversations, children learn to weave together all five topics โ a creative, expressive session that marks a genuine leap in French confidence.
Dedicated to pronunciation refinement and an open Ask the Teacher session, this week stands perfectly on its own. Children can bring any question about French โ and leave with clearer sounds, more confidence, and a genuine sense of progress.
