Bad Weather Arrangements

Our Bad Weather Arrangements page outlines our professional policies for handling class cancellations, rescheduling, and ensuring the safety of our students and staff during adverse weather conditions. Tropical Storm Warning Signal No. 8 or Above Arrangements

In the event that the Tropical Storm Warning Signal No. 8 (or above) is hoisted, the following arrangements shall apply:

  1. For classes not yet started:
    If the Signal No. 8 is hoisted within 3 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the classes, the classes will be cancelled.
  2. For classes that have already started:
    Students will be instructed to leave the premises immediately and the class will be rescheduled.

Black Rainstorm Arrangements

In the event that the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted, the following arrangements shall apply:

  1. For classes not yet started:
    If the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted within 3 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the classes, the classes will be cancelled.
  2. For classes that have already started:
    Classes will continue uninterrupted until their completion.

All Other Signals Arrangements

It should be assumed that all classes will be conducted as planned unless an announcement has been made, when any of the following signals are in effect:

  • Standby Signal No. 1
  • Strong Wind Signal No. 3
  • Amber Rainstorm Warning Signal
  • Red Rainstorm Warning Signal

Online Classes Arrangements

For all classes conducted online, they will proceed as scheduled, regardless of the weather conditions.
